1st XI Coaching 2026

North West Youth Cricket are proud to announce Zac Tait as NWYC 1st XI coach in 2026.

From player to coach, Zac Tait has been a part of the club and present for over 110 games. After a Coaching many teams, including the 2nd XI, last Year Zac stepped in to coach the NWYC 1st XI with Alistair Sim. Zac’s ability to read a game and feedback to the players to grow their skills has taken him on the journey to this level of coaching. This year Zac will continue to coach the NWYC 1st XI alongside Kelvin Upjohn. When Zac isn’t coaching NWYC he can be found at Burnside Cricket with bat or ball in hand. NWYC look forward to the continued working relationship with Zac this year developing top level players.

Kelvin Upjohn will be coaching with Zac and provide support at other times to ensure our players continue to develop their cricket skills throughout the year. Kelvin is a highly qualified cricket coach. Kelvin also sits on the NWYC committee where his role is to oversee Coaching Development for the Club.
