Papanui HS and Burnside HS – Gillette Tournament Trials

The Gillette Tournament is a nationwide 1st XI school tournament which is run every year in New Zealand. It starts with regional qualifiers to decide the school team to go through to represent the region.

Canterbury is split into regions, and Christchurch Metropolitan Cricket operate the tournament for the city schools. They have a “pre-tournament” for the less stronger schools – Cashmere, Papanui, Hillmorton, Burnsides etc on the 15th and 16th of February – the winner to go through to the next round to meet the next schools (CBHS, St Bedes, StAC etc).

You will need permission to take part – and because it is a short week next week we will holding some trials to assist Zac and Adam selecting the team to represent the the schools.  You do NOT have to be a registered NWYC player to play for School.
