Ben Cox awarded Tom Latham Kookaburra / Cricket Express Scholarship 2020

Ben Cox was the recipient of this years Tom Latham Kookaburra / Cricket Express Scholarship, and a special thanks goes out to Kookaburra and Cricket Express to support Youth Cricket.

The were several very good nominations this season for the scholarship and here is what we heard about Ben

Ben is a young player who joined the 1stXI at the beginning of 2020 & grown to be an important member of the squad. He never gives less than 100% to the team at both training & during the game. He is often the biggest voice one the field and his positive contribution to the overall teams result is more than just with bat, ball or gloves.

As a young & new player in his 1st year in 1stXI Championship Grade he took on the highly important roles of batting at 3 & wicketkeeping and although with mixed results his resolve & commitment is unquestioned.

Ben will no doubt remain an important member of the 1stXI team for another couple of years and has the real potential to be a future captain of the clubs top team.
