NWYC Club Most Improved Player: Daniel Mead
This award doesn’t just recognize raw talent; it celebrates resilience, dedication, and growth. Daniel Mead truly embodied this journey this season.
- The Development: Daniel faced a tough spell with the bat in Term 1, but instead of getting discouraged, he committed to improvement. We saw him develop crucial patience at the crease, which led directly to far more consistent and powerful performances in Term 4.
- The Threat: With both bat and ball, Daniel has transformed into an “X-factor” player—someone the opposition genuinely sees as a threat. He worked hard on his bowling rhythm, which now generates impressive heat and bounce.
- The Future: Daniel is a naturally gifted, humble young athlete, and it has been fantastic to watch him evolve. He is a young man whose commitment to developing his game promises an exciting future. Well done, Daniel!

Enough thanks cannot be given to all our dedicated Coaches and Managers who give up their own time to support player development and the club. From coaching and scoring to handling sprinkler disputes and being key on the India Tour, Alistair has done it all, including coaching the 1st XI for the last two seasons.
